Revolutionising CBRN Defence with a System-of-Systems Approach
CBRN SoS – Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear System of Systems
We are proud to support the CBRN SoS project, a groundbreaking initiative that aims to transform the future of CBRN defence through a unified, cross-border System-of-Systems approach.
Led by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and co-funded by the European Defence Fund (2023), the project brings together partners from 12 EU Member States and associated countries.
Over the course of 36 months, the CBRN SoS project will:
Integrate national CBRN components into a harmonised European information system
Enhance operational readiness and response speed across borders
Improve situational awareness, reducing false alarms and misinterpretations
Identify capability gaps and opportunities for future synergies
This effort will set a new standard for how Europe prepares for and responds to CBRN threats — ensuring faster, smarter, and more coordinated actions during emergencies.
At SEC Technologies, we are proud to contribute our expertise in active stand-off detection as part of this strategic shift in CBRN readiness.
