Wallace: Laser Warning Receiver


The system is designed for detection of laser irradiation from laser assisted weapons and can be used on all kinds of military vehicles or important stationary objects. The system is capable to detect laser radiation with wavelength from 0,9 μm to 1,7 μm, i.e. from commonly used lasers based on Nd: YAG (λ = 1,06 μm), from laser diodes (λ = 0,9 μm) and even from eye-safe lasers (λ = 1,54 μm). The system consists of laser radiation detection head (containing typically 8 pcs. of laser receivers) and indicator unit. The indicator unit can be a board computer with special software installed or a special indicator box. The irradiation is indicated by means of light emitting diodes and a warning signal could be fed into intercom or to other system.
